It’s Liberal Youth election season again, and as usual, promises and pledges are flying around to
convince individuals to vote for them.
These are all well and good, but your term in office will be defined by a lot more than what was said
on Facebook six months earlier. Serving on the Liberal Youth executive is a tough ask, and the best
way you can prepare is to know what you- and the committee you chair (where applicable)- should
be doing on a month by month or even week by week basis.
The annual plan became the bugbear of all Liberal Youth officers this year, but we wouldn’t have
achieved much had we not had them. So write yours early, and let the Liberal Youth membership
know exactly what you hope to achieve over the next year.
Liberal Youth’s potential is huge, and everyone needs to play their part. The executive and the
membership will only strengthen their relationship by a real dialogue over the forward direction for
Liberal Youth.
